By using OpenAir you agree to these terms. OpenAir is provided free of charge as a study aid for US amateur radio licensing exams. If you don't agree with any of this, please don't use the site.
Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure.
- Give us accurate information. Don't impersonate someone else or sign up on behalf of someone without their permission.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
Acceptable use
Don't use OpenAir to:
- Scrape, bulk-download, or redistribute the question pools, explanations, or other content beyond personal study use.
- Interfere with the service. No automated abuse, load testing, or exploitation.
- Upload anything unlawful, infringing, or harmful.
- Reverse-engineer security features or access other users' accounts.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Exam content
The FCC question pools are published by the National Conference of Volunteer Examiner Coordinators (NCVEC) and are in the public domain. OpenAir's own explanations, glossary entries, and interface are © OpenAir and licensed to you for personal study use only.
OpenAir is a study aid, not a substitute for the actual exam or for FCC rules. We do our best to keep content accurate and current, but we make no guarantee that studying with OpenAir will get you a passing score.
No warranty
OpenAir is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Availability is best-effort; we can't guarantee uptime.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenAir and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to OpenAir will not exceed US $50.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
